Letter from Lauderdale Accepting Invitation to Dinner with the Minister of the Interior, Jean-Pierre Champagny: 29 August 1806
No. XXVIII. – The Count of Lauderdale, plenipotentiary of H. M. of Britain has the honor to acknowledge the note which has just been given to him on behalf of their Exc. the French plenipotentiary. I will have the honor to go, around three oclock, tomorrow, to the Ministry of the Interior, and to the dinner then at his Exc. Mr. de Champagny. Misters Goddard Stetward (sic) and Maddisson will also have the honor to go there for the hour of the dinner. LAUDERDALE.
