Eylau: Precis Des Travaux de la Grande Armée
Letter from the Surgeon Who Treated the Duke of Brunswick’s Wounds: 22 October 1806
Letter of the surgeon who treats the wound of the Duke of Brunswick, to the King of Prussia.
Y. M. graced me to inform me that considering the approach of the French troops of the country of Brandenburg, where they actually arrived the very same day of our departure, it had been determined to transport H. A. the duke here. I have the satisfaction to announce to you that we arrived there very fortunately today. The health of this prince is improved a little, and will be more than seems is impossible in such unhappy circumstances.
Brunswick, October 22.
Signed, FALLWIST.
