Notes:

1. He was replaced on December 27, 1806 by Colonel Déry.

2. He was replaced on December 27 by Colonel Colbert.

3. The 1st Hussars passed in review of the Emperor at Berlin on November 18, with the return of the detachment of General Savary;  it was very-weak.

The Emperor to the Chief of Staff .                                                                                                                              Berlin, November 18, 1806.

… the Chief of Staff will give orders so that one carries to the depot to take particular care of the 1st Hussars which is very-weak for the army and has only 300 men.  This depot is in Tongres.  He will hold a special review, men and horses.  His manpower is 210 men.

The Chief of Staff will send today to request information from the colonel on his situation.  This regiment carries in my muster having like 529 men and 524 horses with the army and having like 107 horses and 214 men at the depot.

At the time of its departure from Coblentz, September 20, this regiment had 418 combatants.  It escorted the Emperor until the arrival of the Guard, then was detached with the Savary General.  October 30, it had only 213 horses.  The service of ordinances and escorts ruins the regiments.

4. The Watier Brigade was only formed in the first days of December.

Detachments, which could join in time to conveniently, take part in the operations of the December Campaign.

The 5th and 7th Hussars received on their passage to Berlin 2 strong detachments in total 322 men (report of General Belliard to the Chief of Staff, November 18), who were to come from the escorts of prisoners.  These detachments were established in the villages of Dalldorfet de Reinickendorf, around Berlin, to await the passage of their regiments there.

The 1st Hussars did not receive detachments with its passage to Berlin.

The 13th Chasseurs received 2 detachments which could have taken part in the December Campaign:  one of 50 chasseurs left mounted from Strasbourg on September 26; the other of 60 chasseurs coming from a detachment on foot left Strasbourg at the same time, heading up to Potsdam and started on November 14.

A detachment of 69 chasseurs of 11th mounted in Potsdam was sent on the way on November 14; it is not reproduced on the situation of the 28th, but it could have taken part in the operations of December.
