[3] Feldmarschalleutnant Thomas, Freiherr von Brady commanded an infantry
division at the Battle of Aspern-Essling (21-22.05.1809).
[4] Oberst Wilhelm, Prinz Anhalt-Bernburg-Schaumburg[-Hoym] (19.04.1771-25.03.1799)
was killed at the First Battle of Stockach.
[5] Oberst Johann Gredler was killed at the Battle of Abensburg (19-20.04.1809).

[1] Archduke Ferdinand, another younger brother of Kaiser Franz I,
was given several titles during the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars.
He was created �Granduca Fernando III di Toscana� when his father
became Holy Roman Emperor on 21 July 1790. Forced into exile after
the French Army occupied Tuscany in 1799 and 1800, Ferdinand received
the titles �Kurfurst von Salzburg� (1802) and �Kurfurst of Wurzburg�
(1805) as compensation. After Tuscany was directly united with the
French Empire in 1807 � Napoleon made his oldest sister Eliza Bacciochi
its Grand-Duchess � Ferdinand was created �Grossherzog Ferdinand III
von Wurzburg�. He was reinstated in Tuscany by the Congress of Vienna
in 1814.

[1] Archduke Ludwig-Josef, another younger brother of Kaiser Franz
I, held the rank of Feldmarschall. He died on 21 December 1864 in
Vienna.
[2] Robert, Freiherr von Swinburne was born in York, England in 1766
(some sources say 17 July 1763). Swinburne began his 55-year military
career at age 16 in Infantry Regiment Nr. 59. Promoted to Oberst in
1806 and to Generalmajor in 1809 (after the Battle of Aspern-Essling),
his final post was as Governor of Milan with the rank of Feldmarschalleutnant.
He died in Innsbruck on 20 January 1849.

year 1795. He is not listed with other Feldmarschalls of this period
(Alexandr Vasilievich, Prince Suvarov; Dagobert-Sigmund, Graf von
Wurmser; Archduke Karl-Ludwig).
