Barnard Foord Bowes Born Yorkshire 1769; Major in 85th Foot 1796; Lieutenant-Colonel in 6th Foot 1 December 1796 (on transfer from 85th Foot); commanded 1/6th Foot in Ireland 1798; Brevet Colonel 1 January 1805; served in Peninsula August 1808 to January 1809 as commander 4th Brigade; subsequently Major-General 25 July 1810; and again in Peninsula February to June 1812 as brigade commander in 4th and 6th Divisions; killed in action 24 June 1812 at Salamanca forts. Lt. Col. William Wade Major in 52nd Foot 13 December 1803; Lieutenant-Colonel in 52nd Foot 8 September 1808; served in Peninsula with 52nd Foot August to October 1808; Lieutenant-Colonel in 6th Foot 14 December 1808; commanded 1/6th Foot in Peninsula November 1812 to February 1813; died in Lisbon 26 February 1813. Major John Gardiner, C.B. Major Sir Guy Campbell, Bart. C.B. Born Scotland 1786 – son of Lieutenant-General Colin Campbell; served in Peninsula with 1/6th Foot August 1808 to January 1809; and again in Peninsula March to October 1813; Major 1 April 1813; wounded in Pyrenees 2 August 1813; brevet Lieutenant-Colonel 26 August 1813; Assistant Adjutant-General at Waterloo; on half-pay 1820; died Dublin 1849. Captain Hugh Maurice Scott Born Coventry 1779; Captain in 6th Foot 27 January 1799; served in Peninsula with 1/6th Foot August 1808 to January 1809; served in Walcheren 1809; brevet Major 4 June 1811; and again in Peninsula November 1812 to April 1814; brevet Lieutenant-Colonel 26 August 1813; commanded advanced guard of 7th Division 1813; commanded 1/6th Foot at Orthez; Major 26 December 1816 (after 18 years a Captain!); died Bombay 1827. Major Henry Gomm Major in 6th Foot 18 May 1809; brevet Lieutenant-Colonel 26 August 1813; never served in Peninsula; probably with 2nd battalion - shown as on detached duties in many Army Lists.
