1er Regiment de Dragons
Formed in Germany in 1656 and entitled Dragons Etranger
du Roi, in 1668 they became the Royal Dragons. The year 1791
saw the Regiment become the 1er Regiment de Dragons and in
1811 the Regiment was transformed into the 1er Regiment de
Chevau-Legers-Lanciers.

8e Regiment de Dragons
Created in 1674 by the Marquis d'Heudicourt, in 1693 the
regiment was renamed Toulouse and in 1737 Penthievre. In
1776, the regiment became the Penthievre-Dragons until
finally becoming the 8e Regiment de Dragons in 1791. This
title lasted until 1811 when the regiment was transformed
into the 3e Regiment de Chevau-Legere-Lanciers.

Created in 1673, in 1773 was the Regiment de Lorraine. In
