* became 18th Light Dragoons 1769 and disbanded 1821. + became 16th

Early Service: Aide-de-Camp Havana Seven Years War 1762. North America
1776-1777.
Service 1793-1815: Flanders 1793-1795 as second in command and then
acted as Commander-in-Chief. Governor of Royal
Military College 1801-1811.
ADC to the King 1777. MP 1768-1774. GCB 1820. Succeeded as 3rd Earl
Harcourt 1809.
